| Credit Card issuers for people with bad credit files The Associates Similar to Capital One, they will accept applications from people with adverse Credit. Capital One One of the few issuers to accept people with a bad credit history, note that APR is high and credit limits are low ( £250 - £400 ) but they do raise this if the account is managed well. Providian Providian also offer credit cards to the credit impaired and they also claim to assess each case individually. You can't apply over the phone, you can apply by phoning 0845 082 0087 and asking for an application form. Issuers that only search Equifax If you have a clean Equifax file you can try applying for a card from these issuers : Bank of Scotland Royal Bank of Scotland They also issue branded credit cards under the quise of Shell Visa, Sonycard Visa and a few others such as some of the charity cards.
